Taking couples from crisis to security
Couples Coaching
At the heart of every intimate relationship is the ability to stay connected and relational with one another. Many couples begin their journey with a strong desire to nurture that connection. However, over time, challenges like parenting, finances, intimacy, health, and daily routines can make it difficult to maintain that closeness.
My work with couples focuses on creating a safe space for partners to work on their relational skills with each other and offering them approaches to connect, attune, communicate, resonate, empathize and support each other in a skillful and enjoyable way.
Attachment-based Guided Meditation (Ideal Parent Figure Protocol) for individuals and groups
One modality that reinforces my belief that most of us are deeply capable of creating the kind of loving, supportive relationship we truly long for is the attachment-based guided meditation technique referred to as the Ideal Parent Figure Protocol (IPFP), as drawn from and based on the teachings of George Haas and the Mettagroup Method (TM) of attachment repair . This guided meditation modality created by Daniel P. Brown, that continues to live and be taught through the Mettagroup Method (TM), blends mindfulness and visualization techniques from Eastern meditation traditions with attachment-based tools from Western psychology to help individuals internalize secure relationship skills and patterns.
In my IPFP meditation sessions, whether in one-on-one or group settings, I guide clients in developing stronger relational skills with themselves and others. During the sessions, clients cultivate - from within - experiences of safety and protection, attunement, reassurance and soothing, support, delight, and exploration, which in turn can help them foster deeper, more fulfilling relationships.
Couples Workshops
Learning relational skills can be incredibly powerful when done in a group setting. Not only do you get the chance to practice these skills with your partner, but there is also great value in seeing how other couples navigate similar challenges. Watching others work through their own experiences can offer fresh perspectives and even lead to moments of self-discovery. Plus, being part of a group helps create a sense of community and reminds you that you are not alone in your journey.
In my couples workshops, whether online or in person, I focus on creating a safe, welcoming space where partners can come together to deepen their connection. Through guided, experiential exercises, couples have the opportunity to reconnect with themselves, each other, and the group in a supportive and enriching environment.
